Privacy Policy
Wizpex s.r.o. (“Wizpex,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how and why we use it, the legal bases we rely on, and your rights. By using the Wizpex platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy. Where we act as the data controller, our contact details are in Section 11.
1. Data We Collect
Note on terminology: Wizpex uses the term “Expert” for service providers. “Expert” has the same meaning as “vendor,” “seller,” or “trader” under applicable Czech and EU law.
Account information: name, email address, and phone number when you create an account; profile information such as username, business name, and uploaded content.
Service and booking interactions: messages exchanged between Experts and Customers; information in service listings, reviews and ratings; and booking-request details, including the requested or agreed appointment date and time, service address, description or notes, participants, status and the history of proposed times.
Technical information: IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system; cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
Optional verification data: phone number and national ID or passport scans, provided voluntarily for identity verification.
2. How and Why We Use Your Data (Legal Bases)
Under the GDPR, we must have a legal basis for processing your personal data. We rely on the following:
| Purpose | Legal basis | Notes |
| Creating and managing your account; enabling Expert–Customer messaging and booking requests | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) | Needed to provide the platform functions you request |
| Maintaining platform security, preventing fraud and abuse | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) | Balanced against your rights and freedoms |
| Optional identity verification (phone / ID) | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) | Entirely voluntary; withdraw at any time |
| Marketing emails and promotional use of your content | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) | Opt-in; withdraw at any time |
| Complying with legal obligations; resolving disputes | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) / legitimate interests | E.g. retaining records required by law |
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these limited circumstances:
With other users. Experts and Customers may share personal data during private message exchanges. When a Customer sends a booking request, Wizpex also shows the Expert the information needed to respond, including the request description and, where provided, the service address. The requested or agreed time, booking status and proposal history are visible to both parties to that request.
With service providers (processors). We use trusted providers to operate the platform. They process data only on our instructions and under contract. Our main categories of processors are:
- Hosting and infrastructure (our web hosting provider);
- Email delivery (our transactional email / SMTP provider);
- SMS delivery for phone verification;
- Analytics and performance tools, where enabled.
A current list of named processors is available on request by emailing [email protected].
For legal reasons. We may disclose data where required by law, valid legal process, or to enforce our Terms and Conditions.
4. International Data Transfers
We aim to keep personal data within the European Union / European Economic Area. Where a service provider processes data outside the EU/EEA, we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place — such as an European Commission adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses — so that your data receives an equivalent level of protection. You can request details of the safeguards used by contacting us.
5. Private Messaging on Wizpex
Wizpex facilitates private messaging between Experts and Customers.
- Your choice. You decide whether to exchange personal information through these messages.
- Administrative access. Wizpex administrators may access private messages only in specific cases: to resolve serious disputes with the agreement of the parties involved, or where required to comply with legal obligations.
- Privacy commitment. We do not routinely monitor or review private messages, and administrative access is strictly limited to authorized cases.
6. Data Retention
- Account data. Retained until you delete your account.
- Messages and listings. Retained while your account is active, unless you delete them.
Booking requests. Declined, cancelled and expired booking records — including their appointment details, address and notes — are deleted after six months. Confirmed booking records are retained as a record of what the Customer and Expert agreed, subject to your data-protection rights and any legal retention requirements. - Verification data. Stored securely and deleted when your account is deactivated.
- Legal records. Some data may be retained longer where required by law (for example, records needed for legal or tax purposes).
7. Data Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption of sensitive information;
- Secure servers and regular security reviews;
- Access controls limiting who can access data.
No system is entirely secure, and any online transmission carries some risk. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.
8. Your Rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or a similar jurisdiction, you have the right to:
- Access and rectification — access your data and correct inaccuracies.
- Erasure — request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Restriction and objection — ask us to limit processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Portability — receive a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time.
- Complain — lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. In the Czech Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.cz).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
9. Cookies
We use cookies to improve your experience on the platform. For details on the cookies we use and how to manage them, see our Cookie Policy.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on the platform, and the “Last Updated” date will be revised. Your continued use of Wizpex after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
